Our Team
EUSS Motorsport is made up of +50 engineering students from the Salesian University of Sarrià. Hailing from various engineering degree programs such as mechanical, electronics, automotive, or industrial organization engineering, we form a diverse team with a wide range of knowledge, which allows us to create an electric single-seater to compete.
Electronics Department
The Electronics Department is responsible for the design and fabrication of the printed circuit boards that handle the control, safety, and management of the car's sensors. They are also responsible for CANBUS communications and data storage for subsequent analysis. As well as being in charge of designing and assembling the wiring and connector layout for the entire vehicle.
Powertrain Department
The Powertrain Department is responsible for the design and manufacturing of the car's high-voltage battery, which supplies the power to move the car. It is also responsible for the inverter configuration and motor operation.
Dynamics Department
The Dynamics Department is responsible for the simulation and design of the car's geometry, in addition to the transmission, braking, steering, and suspension mounts. It is also responsible for the car's fine-tuning and setup preparation.
Frame Department
The Frame Department is responsible for the design and manufacturing of the frame, as well as other functions such as conducting driver ergonomics studies. The department's main objective is to ensure maximum safety with the firewall and head restraint, among other components, and the single-seater's torsional rigidity, optimizing weight through the use of computer simulations to improve dynamic performance on the track.
Aerodynamics Department
The Aerodynamics Department is dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and validating three main groups. The bodywork, which covers the driver's cockpit and the car's mechanical components; the aerodynamic components responsible for improving the car's efficiency while cornering; and the cooling system, which is responsible for maintaining the proper temperature of the engine, inverter, and battery.
Operations Department
The Operations Department is responsible for team accounting, logistics and transportation for the members and the car during competitions and events, and for the team's overall operation and personnel management. It is also responsible for preparing the Cost Document, which compiles the total cost of the car.
Marketing Department
The Marketing Department is responsible for managing the team's social media, implementing the Business Plan presented in competitions, as well as designing the team's merchandising. They also design the livery of the car.
